Fused Glass Ring Mold

from $65.00

Each of these molds is hand-made by our artisans to a detailed product specification. They’re used by glass artists to create consistent rings out of glass frit, murrine, or other glass pieces in a kiln. As they’re hand-made, some variation is to be expected.

Available in two sizes (8” and 10”) both sizes have six channels to hold glass frit. The channels of the 10” molds are wider with a flatter bottom profile than the channels of the 8” molds, making for thicker rings as well as being slightly larger in diameter.

Instructions and Tutorial

This guide (CLICK TO DOWNLOAD) was created by original mold designer Laura (Smonkey) Reynolds to help get you started successfully creating art with your new ring mold. It contains a lot of helpful tips and instructions, and is worth reading even if you’re very experienced with creating glass art using molds; our molds have some unique characteristics that make them different from the slipcast or bisqueware molds you may have used before.
