New Class Sessions, Plus Pottery Pro Consultation

Glass & Stone Pottery continues to develop and change, and it's all due to the overwhelming support and involvement of our growing community of students and members. Starting in April, we're working to better accomodate the needs of that community with two new class sessions, and a focused instruction option for those who want it.

New Sunday Class Schedule

Demand for our Sunday class has always been high; since we started accepting signups for a waiting list, the list has grown every month to the point that it's larger than a full class. As a result, we've decided to add a new Sunday class session in the morning, to try to accomodate as many students as possible.

The morning session will be from 9 AM to 1 PM, with the afternoon session beginning an hour later at 2 PM and ending at 6 PM. Students of the existing 1 PM to 5 PM session get first choice in deciding which session they'd like to take going forward, then the remaining seats in both sessions will be filled in from the waiting list. Going forward, people signing up for the Sunday class waiting list will have the option to choose whether they're signing up for the Morning session, Afternoon session, or if they're open to either.

Tuesday Matinee Class

One common request is that we offer a class that fits into the schedule of stay-at-home parents of younger children. So we're launching a class on Tuesdays at 10 AM to 2 PM, with the needs of those parents in mind. Remember all those times your kids made muddy messes with their games? Come play in the mud and see why it's so popular!

Pottery Pro Consultation

Our staff are dedicated to helping students develop their pottery skills, but a full class isn't always a great environment for concentrating on a challenging new skill or complicated project. So for those times when you really need the focused time - or just want to make taller cylinders than your friend - you can now schedule one-on-one instruction on an hourly basis.

Sessions are available for $25 per hour, according to individual schedule availability. No, you can't schedule these during regular class times, but it is possible to schedule one during Saturday open studio sessions.
